Xpeng’s “flying car” isn’t really a car that flies

Xpeng says they’re delivering a flying car in 2026, but let’s be real, it’s more like an electric helicopter mounted on a car. No wheels on the helicopter, no wings on the car… so is it really a flying car?

Yeah, calling it a flying car is definitely a stretch. It’s more of a modular system where you have a car and a detachable electric VTOL. I get that XPeng wants to market it as a futuristic vehicle, but until I see something that actually drives and flies in the same form, it’s just an electric helicopter with a fancy landing pad.

It’s more like a cool concept with a lot of potential, but calling it a true flying car is misleading.
