Xpeng doing flying cars too after the EVs

So Xpeng's saying they'll have a flying car by 2026 but with only 12 meters of range on current batteries. Seriously that's barely a hop. This is after they've tried a few EVs. Anyone else thinking this is more of a showpiece than a real ride? I mean how are you gonna get anywhere with that kind of range? Maybe they're betting on some crazy battery breakthrough but right now it sounds like a really expensive toy.
